This one came up pretty spontaneously. I was waiting for my class to start and had a green highlighter out and was making circles. Naturally this came about. The Mr. Yuk symbol was used as a replacement for the traditional skull-and-crossbones warning label for poison in Pittsburgh since the 1970s. Why? There was a good belief that children might associate the jolly-roger symbol with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
